BBC Two’s acting controller of comedy commissioning Cheryl Taylor, and controller of BBC Two Roly Keating, have re-commissioned Lead Balloon for a second series.

The Open Mike production, which stars and is co-written by Jack Dee, saw its first series transfer from BBC Four to BBC Two after just three episodes. Taylor said: “Jack Dee and Pete Sinclair have produced a beautifully observed comedy that has struck a chord with audiences and we are delighted it’s back for a second series.”
